For an average association, the entire process of scanning, indexing and bringing content online only takes a few weeks.
Montreal, QC, Canada (PRWEB) April 26, 2011
Integration New Media, Inc (INM), a leader in the digital publishing industry, announced today a new service for associations and non-profit organizations looking to build digital publication archives and offer eLibraries online. This new end-to-end service helps organizations quickly digitize back-catalogs of content, enable full-text indexing, and bring their titles online as part of a searchable eLibrary.
“In speaking with a number of associations, the process of choosing technology, coordinating document scanning and indexing, and building a searchable archive seemed very daunting,” said Jason MacDonald, Reach ePublishing Product Manager. “We are looking to simplify this process and help associations derive new revenue from content they already have. An eLibrary provides excellent value-add for members and can be a new source of revenue for associations.”
INM has partnerships in place with several document scanning and imaging companies across North America to offer solutions at all price points. Associations with sole copies of specific publications can leverage non-destructive scanning methods to create a digital version and still preserve the original copy.
“For an average association, the entire process of scanning, indexing and bringing content online only takes a few weeks,” said Jason MacDonald, Reach ePublishing Product Manager. “We can even customize the eLibrary with full custom branding, or connect it to other systems to manage user permissions and document access.”
With Reach eLibrary, documents are securely stored and fully indexed, so readers can access and view them, but publishers retain control and ownership. The application’s customizable cross-document search functionality allows readers to easily find specific content and view results immediately on-screen. An embedded document viewer, based on Reach Docs technology, makes reading content online simple and comfortable.
Pricing and Availability
The Reach eLibrary solution is available as a yearly license for $1,800. Document digitization and indexing rates vary from $0.15 per page to $0.50 per page, depending on the scanning technology used and the complexity of the documents. Our team can assess specific client needs and provide a detailed quote.
