Fibre Channel Industry Association Welcomes Ehringer to Its Senior Leadership Team

Data Center Systems (http://www.datacentersys.com) today announced that CTO and Chairman, Kevin Ehringer, has joined the Board of Directors of the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA), a non-profit international organization of manufacturers, systems integrators and vendors. In this role, Ehringer will help guide the FCIA’s core mission of broadening the market for Fibre Channel products by aiding with market development, education, standards monitoring and fostering interoperability among member products.

Anyone familiar with Kevin knows how much time he spends working with customers on datacenter implementations involving the latest FC technologies. That gives him a depth of practical know-how and understanding of the customer experience that will be valuable in helping the FCIA enhance the usability and value of Fibre Channel products.”

As Founder and CTO of Data Center Systems (DCS) since April 2011, Kevin brings a fresh perspective to the data center environment. Utilizing his mechanical design background along with his experience in fiber optic connectivity, Kevin designs and develops user-friendly products that address specific customer requirements. Kevin’s cutting-edge designs and expertise in fiber management systems allows DCS to provide customers one-of-a-kind products as part of the ultimate solution for connectivity in the enterprise datacenter. Prior to his current position, Kevin served as President and CEO of DCS since founding the company in 2002. Prior to DCS, Kevin was founder and CEO of OCS since 1994. The vision to form OCS prior to the “Fiber Boom” brought exceptional growth the company its first 18 months in business. In 1996, OCS was named America’s 16th fastest growing company by Inc. Magazine. Previously, Kevin was active in engineering, sales and management positions at Optical Data Systems. Kevin earned his BS degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
