The Creative Talent Network (CTN) Launches Mini-Event Series with Animation Filmmakers from France

Director and Lecturer from Gobelins comes to Burbank to share The Animation Master Class.

Presented by the same organization that hosts the premiere animation talent event of the year in Burbank CA, the CTN animation eXpo®. The Creative Talent Network (CTN) is proud to launch the first event in its CTN Mini Event series for 2011 with the exclusive US appearance of Goeblins Lecturer, Studio Owner, Animator, Director, and Filmmaker Reno Armanet.

Reno will present highlights of what is normally a week long workshop held at the anual event held in France, The Annecy Film Festival and the Gobelins L'ecole de L'image. In this intimate environment Reno will discuss, demonstrate, answer questions, critique films, look at portfolios and show examples of other films that reveal the passion, creativity and inspiration behind developing successful independently animated films.

Born in Marseille, France, Reno Armanet, is an award winning independent director, animator, music composer and visual development artist and the founder of the independent animation studio tigoboANIMATION. Located in Angoulême, France Reno and his team of artists from around the world, share a common independent spirit and passion for animation, the studio has a long line of successful independent animation projects including features, short films and TV series along with documentaries. Reno himself is currently directing several short films that include "OA" and "Symhio" and has been asked to collaborate alongside Master 2D animator Pablo Navarro on the feature animated film "Labyrinth".

Reno is not new to sharing his talent and has lectured at multiple conferences and animation schools in France, notably the famous Gobelins and EMCA schools but this is his first time in the US teaching this session. This workshop is designed for 2D or 3D animators, independent filmmakers, designers, directors, writers, production designers, and cinematographers and anyone aspiring to or already creating films independently and is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and include this mentor in your creative circle.

Interpreter and Moderator for the day, Christophe Vacher, is well established relocated French artist who has contributed as a background painter and Visual Development Artist for Walt Disney Feature Animation Los Angeles and Walt Disney Animation Paris on some of the highest grossing films in the history of Animation. In 2004, he entered into the arena of Art Direction, on a CG animated short movie for Studio Arts in Los Angeles, for the animated segment of Disney’s live action movie “Enchanted”, and the CG feature film “9″, produced by Tim Burton and directed by Shane Acker. He most recently has been contributing his talent to "Transformers" by Hasbro. Christopher also shares his talent between creating personal artwork for galleries, painting and creating covers for books, cds and video games, and animated and live action film studio work.
