New book follows young mage’s epic journey and the destiny he must embrace

From author Max Holman comes a fantastic adventure that unfolds in "The Chronicles of White Raven and The Book of Vanderbolt." He invites readers into the world of Mage—a world divided by the Alchemy Wars long ago and separated into three different planes of existence. Now, the world faces the coming of the third Alchemy War.

The world of today is filled with technology advancement, video games, computers—and runes, a twist of conspiracies that hide the magicals behind veils and shrouds from the non-magical eye. "The Chronicles of White Raven and The Book of Vanderbolt;" The World of Mage takes readers on a journey through Dallas, Texas, following a young mage that has been drawn into a world that turns a blind eye to the obvious threat and the coming war with the Alchemic Liberation. He is forced to find his way to the Mage Shelter where he meets friends and a devious plot starts to boil. With only two family heirlooms, a book with a broken spine and empty pages and a small box wrapped in chains that he cannot open, he must discover his own path into the deepest reaches of his soul…

As the first installment of "The Book of Vanderbolt" (trilogy), "The Chronicles of White Raven and The World of Mage" is filled with excitingly unpredictable twists and turns and will keep readers riveted from the first page until the very last. This book will be featured at the 2011 Book Expo America Book Exhibit in New York City, on May 26 to 28, 2011. For more information, interested parties may log on to http://www.Xlibris.com.

About the Author
Max Holman has been writing for as long as he can remember. Although, he has not always enjoyed writing, it was not until his venture into middle school that he got a firm grasp on the written word—or to be more precise, grammar. Which at times eludes him and he’s forced to seek out help from others, which may be added that it happens most of the time.

From the time he could sit down at a computer and type one letter at a time, he has been writing stories. None of them fabricated into anything more than the equivalent of a crumpled up piece of paper in the trash, but from his scribbling an idea lingered. That idea has finally taken shape as "The Chronicles of White Raven." He envisioned himself someday becoming a published author, but never dreamed it would happen before he was twenty-five. He never dreamed that he would be a published author by the age of eighteen, give or take a few months. Not that he figures it matters. He enjoys writing and is just happy that everything, eventually, worked out.

He lives in, currently, Portales, New Mexico within the dorms, which he finds to be, shall people say, awesome. Although, at times, he does miss his hometown of San Jon, New Mexico, where his mother and twin brother live, he cannot help but enjoy the freedom of being away from home. He is a full time student at ENMU and plans on majoring in English. He spends his time walking, hanging out with friends, and most importantly spending time with his fiancé.
