Two Trails, Inc.- Green Building Consulting is partnering with Minto to provide a second development project to be certified as LEED and Energy Star.
The new community Harbor Isles will consist of 96 units of tri-plexes. The first community Lakewood Ranch, Minto developed as entirely LEED certified homes consisted of 54 units. “It is uplifting to see a commitment from a developer to prioritize recognized environmental standards such as LEED and Energy Star into their future developments. This forward thinking commitment reflects highly upon the builder in its dedication to the environment and sends a message to prospective homebuyers that building green should be the standard in new developments,” said Drew Smith, President of Two Trails Inc. Two Trails philosophy is to work in conjunction with the builder to easily construct new healthy green homes. Healthy homes that are built green become easier to maintain and promotes not only a sustainable home, but healthy occupants. Attention to detail in the green building process goes a long way in the ease of maintaining your home in the future, along with cost savings that are saved year after year. With recognized certifications building green will soon be a standard, and not perceived as an exception or add-on.
