Community Alliance for Birth Options (CABO) (http://www.projectcabo.org), a non-profit organization announced today they will host their Annual Spring Fundraiser and Silent Auction at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club on May 6, 2011.
Established in 2008, Community Alliance for Birth Options (CABO) is a non-profit organization that supports and educates women and families about alternative options for non-interventive care and natural childbirth. Last year, CABO established a Scholarship program to financially assist expecting women in California that showed an interest in delivering their babies in a natural environment, including the use of a Midwife or Doula, or to women that were unable to fulfill their birth plan.
“Many women we have met are unable to fulfill their birth plan due to financial hardship or lack of insurance coverage. We are thrilled as an organization to fulfill their desired birth plan with the help of the CABO Scholarship program,” stated Public Relations Director, Chris Snell. “To date, CABO has awarded over $15,000.00 in Scholarship money to women. We are absolutely thrilled to help women in need of assistance,” concluded Snell.
In addition to hosting the Annual Spring Fundraiser and Silent Auction on May 6th, CABO has attended and hosted numerous community outreach and educational programs throughout the year. Over the past two years, CABO has raised over $40,000 to support the Southern California community.
All proceeds of the event will benefit the Mission of Project CABO. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the event to support the future of the community and help a family achieve their desired birth plan.
