Pinnacle Career Institute in South Kansas City will be held on Tuesday, April 26 from 5-7 pm, and Pinnacle Career Institute – North Kansas City* will be held Wednesday, April 27 from 5-7 pm.

The open houses will be music to everyone’s ears. Not only will attendees hear about this exciting healthcare program, KCHZ 95.7 the Vibe will broadcast live from the open houses. Pepsi Max will be served, and everyone who attends is eligible to win Kansas Speedway tickets where they’ll meet NASCAR star, Jeff Gordon.

In addition, PCI in South Kansas City’s HIT program coordinator, Renii Modisette, and Career Services director, Jenny Mische, will speak at the South Kansas City event. Attendees will have the chance to tour the school and receive information on the HIT program. Massage students from the school will perform chair massages.

PCI’s Health Information Technician program prepares students to be vital members of the healthcare team. Students learn how to compile, process and maintain patient medical records. Skills are also taught in the area of medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory requirements.

“For students interested in medical billing and coding, our Health Information Technician program puts them at the forefront of health information systems,” said Modisette. “Our program graduates will be well prepared for the shift to digitizing of medical records.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, ten of the 20 fastest-growing occupations are healthcare related. Job prospects should be very good for medical records and health information technicians, particularly for technicians with strong computer software skills.
