Author Solutions Inc. (ASI), the world leader in indie book publishing, will host more than seven dozen free indie author book signings at the 2011 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books being held Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, on the campus of the University of Southern California. The Festival has become the largest and most prestigious book festival in the country, attracting more than 130,000 book lovers annually.

The book signings; which are being held in booths 158, 159, 160, 161, 241, 242 and 243; will feature up-and-coming authors who’ve published with ASI’s industry-leading imprints AuthorHouse, iUniverse, Trafford Publishing and Xlibris. Throughout the entire weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the authors in person and receive free, signed copies of their books.

“This marks our third year of making these book signings available to Festival attendees and thus far they’ve been an overwhelming success. It’s unique opportunity for authors to interact with their readers and for readers to have the opportunity to meet talented authors whose books cover a wide spectrum of genres,” said Keith Ogorek, ASI senior vice president of marketing.

Aspiring authors who've yet to make their dreams of publishing a book a reality, are encouraged to stop by booth 913 and meet with ASI publishing professionals. Representatives from ASI’s industry-leading imprints will be on hand to share how ASI helped authors bring more than 25,000 new titles to readers in 2010. Booth 915 will feature the Festival’s largest gallery of indie published books, including more than 300 titles that cover nearly every genre.

Admission to the Festival is free. For more information, including directions to the Festival and its hours of operation, please visit LATimes.com/extras/festivalofbooks/.
