Hotel Cass (640 N. Wabash, http://www.hotelcass.com) primarily focused on the new fitness room, corridors and guest rooms, including new carpeting throughout the landmark Chicago hotel. The 174-room hotel also upgraded the work spaces in each guest room with granite desktops and leather ergonomic chairs.
Additionally, Hotel Cass implemented the refreshed brand standards as part of the InterContinental Hotels Group’s global roll-out of the new Holiday Inn Express. While keeping the complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi as the hallmarks, the hotel upgraded bedroom and bathroom furnishings to complete Hotel Cass’ unique boutique style.

Hotel Cass spent nearly $3,000 per guest room with new, plush linens, along with bathroom updates to allow for more light in the showers. Additional updates include new slate tiles at the elevator landings, as well as the new wall art, wall coverings and window treatments.
“We also upgraded the hotel’s technology with in-room thermostats that incorporate motion and heat sensors along with upgraded Wi-Fi for even faster Internet service,” added Jordan.
