Auberge Resorts today announced the appointment of Martin Nicholson as General Manager of Encantado, an Auberge Resort. Nicholson will oversee the award-winning Santa Fe property and its 65 casitas, destination spa, Terra Restaurant and The Bar at Encantado.

Nicholson brings to his new position extensive experience in national and international luxury resort operations. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, Calif., where he oversaw an award-winning culinary program. Prior to that, he was General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica, following a tenure as Vice President and General Manager at Carmel Valley Ranch in Carmel Valley, Calif. He earlier served as Managing Director at Mount Juliet Hotel, a resort in Kilkenny, Ireland, and as Vice President and Managing Director at Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Nicholson is a graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management in Ireland.

Opened in 2008, Encantado is the first-ever, full-service, five diamond luxury resort to grace the cultural mecca of Santa Fe.
