DOMA has been awarded two task orders to provide remote coding, feedback and reporting for the Army. The awards are for Bassett Army Community Hospital (Ft. Wainwright AK) and Weed Army Community Hospital (Ft. Irwin CA).

"...remote coding is the solution that provides the best speed and accuracy for coding in places where attracting and retaining qualified coders is challenging"

DOMA will provide Certified Coders (CCS, CCS-P, CPC, RHIA and RHIT’s) as necessary to code, abstract, analyze and assemble medical record data. The coders will work remotely to assign diagnoses and procedure codes for Inpatient Rounds (RNDS), Ambulatory Procedure Visits (APVs), and Outpatient Clinical Data/Records.

“The award of these projects to DOMA builds on our history of working with the Army Medical Command to provide excellence in medical coding and auditing” commented DOMA CEO, Leticia Feliciano. “Our experience has shown that remote coding is the solution that provides the best speed and accuracy for coding in places where attracting and retaining qualified coders is challenging” continued Feliciano.

“Remote coding continues to grow in prevalence and offers the managers of a remote workforce unprecedented flexibility in work allocation considering issues like coder specialization, time zone, and priority” says Wayne DeAtley, DOMA Senior Vice President. “DOMA is able to conduct these coding projects remotely because of our DISA approved B2B connection with the Army which maintains the highest levels of data security” continued DeAtley.

Case studies have demonstrated increased accuracy, throughput, and efficiency amongst remote coders which reduces the denial of reimbursement rate and cost less than a traditional onsite coding solution.

DOMA conducts remote coding using its proprietary Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, iCodeRx. iCodeRx furnishes health industry providers with an extremely cost-effective, uncomplicated on-site or remote coding and auditing platform. This powerful web-based application increases productivity in the medical coding process, delivers a configurable framework to easily manage workflow, affords multiple levels of access, and monitors coder productivity. With iCodeRx, medical charts are scanned, indexed, and securely uploaded to our servers and routed to a coder's work queue for processing and submission to a dedicated hospital abstracting system. Coding managers and auditors can perform quality assurance and monitor production, while storing the coded charts for future retrieval by medical personnel online.
