Perfect Solutions Consulting appointed to distribute Teen Wellness Program nationwide

In an effort to curb our national high school dropout rate that now tops 31%, Mevident, Inc. (http://www.mevident.com), developer of the online Teen Wellness program (http://www.teenwellness.com) that helps students face life challenges, has appointed Perfect Solutions Consulting, Inc. (http://www.perfectsolutions.com) to distribute Teen Wellness to the school districts across the country.

Teen Wellness is the first and only online interactive program to teach resiliency skills to students who are distracted from their academics by family problems, peer or relationship problems, behavioral issues and psychological barriers.

“Internet intervention, when accompanied by a professional counselor coach, may be more effective than classroom sessions lead by teachers for engaging students with emotional and life skill learning,” says Dr. Benjamin Van Voorhees, assistant professor of medicine, pediatrics and psychiatry at the University of Chicago, and technical advisor to Mevident. “Teen Wellness builds on research in both academic achievement and improving child wellbeing and mental health.”

Built around Mevident’s proprietary educational materials, the Teen Wellness online program comprises of 13 chapters of lessons, homework exercises and character stories, supported by full interactivity for both student and counselor alike.

"Teen Wellness really addresses the core of reasons why kids drop out of school today," says Mevident CEO Asako Tsumagari. "Many dropouts say they would have stayed in school if their schools had provided the necessary support when they were facing life challenges. Providing an online option to educate students on those skills and providing support is what Teen Wellness is all about.”

Perfect Solutions Consulting’s nationwide network of thousands of schools will help make Teen Wellness available to students. Perfect Solutions Consulting has introduced numerous innovative technology products to school districts, from low-cost computers for elementary school students to classroom networked platforms to assist content distribution.

“Teen Wellness demonstrates Mevident’s commitment to helping students prepare for the challenges in both their personal and academic lives,” said Perfect Solutions Consulting President Andrew Kramer. “I am eager to bring Teen Wellness to school districts and their students, and to help school districts build modern, leading edge and caring learning environments for students.”

One subscription of Teen Wellness is priced at $100 and allows a school district to create up to 20 new student accounts. One-hour web training for school counselors is included, and customized on-site training session can be arranged with additional fees.
