SA2 Worldsync reports increased revenue and significant year-end momentum for master data management services and Global Data Synchronization Network adoption

“With worldwide smartphone sales growing more than 50 percent year over year, we are seeing strong demand for our new digital couponing and mobile data access solutions within the next years,“ said SA2 Worldsync CEO Nihat Arkan.

SA2 Worldsync GmbH, a leading global provider of data synchronization and master data management services, today reported 2010 year-end highlights and provided perspective on worldwide global data synchronization adoption. SA2 Worldsync GmbH announced revenue increased in 2010 over the prior year and exceeded forecast, with significant year-end momentum in global markets. SA2 Worldsync GmbH ended 2010 with a positive cash flow for its third consecutive year since company founding in 2008. The Company further expanded its presence as the world’s leading data pool provider for global data synchronization, supporting local implementations in more than 30 countries.

“We are pleased to report another year of record growth for retailers and suppliers that connect to the Global Data Synchronization Network through our data pool service,” said SA2 Worldsync GmbH Chief Executive Officer Nihat Arkan. “The company entered 2011 in an excellent position to benefit as master data management becomes a more strategic IT priority to help companies better address increasing data demands. We have laid a strong foundation for expanding our market opportunity through focused investments in strategic markets. We are confident that our platform roadmap will help build more effective MDM programs for the clients and industries we serve.”

Growing Global GDS Adoption
Through strategic partnerships with GS1 organizations worldwide and local providers, SA2 Worldsync GmbH launched programs in several markets during 2010. Highlights include: Chile`s leading GDS provider chose it as its preferred data pool provider and plans to expand into other Latin America countries. Additionally, the Indian-based company Infotech Enterprises swiftly moved to full-scale country-wide rollout after pilot. Furthermore, the GS1 organizations of Czech Republic, Slovenia and Thailand chose SA2 Worldsync GmbH as their preferred data pool technology and, with their support, launched full-scale country-wide rollouts.

SA2 Worldsync GmbH entered in 2010 an agreement with GS1 UK to be the solution provider for its popular, new MDM service TrueSource. TrueSource enables GS1 UK members to publish product portfolios for the general U.K. market so consumers can access product information through bar code scans using their smartphone camera.

Strong Demand for New MDM Solutions
The company enjoyed increased demand across all markets for its expanding suite of hosted, software-as-a-service solutions for master data management. Several leading retailers launched successful pilots of the SA2 Worldsync GmbH Webapproval solution, which is used for enriching and approving data for successful synchronization. In 2010, the rising need to synchronize with smaller suppliers drove demand for SA2 Worldsync GmbH Webforms Portal Integration, which easily integrates with retailer supplier portals. These solutions, combined with the company`s on-boarding services, supported retailers as they launched and managed their programs, leading to greater success in 2010.

Mobile-Commerce Drives New Solutions
In 2010, SA2 Worldsync GmbH partnered with sister-company acardo technologies to launch new coupon management solutions. This is the company`s first initiative in the business-to-consumer (B2C) area and initial deployments include GS1 Belgilux, which, through its coupon data pool, is rolling out the solution to all member retailers and suppliers.

“With worldwide smartphone sales growing more than 50 percent year over year, we are seeing strong demand for our new digital couponing and mobile data access solutions within the next years,“ said Nihat Arkan. “In 2011, we will continue to invest in new ways to leverage our existing suite of MDM and GDS offerings to support our clients’ needs to stay competitive in the ever-changing world of global commerce.”
