"Guitar Center identified APT’s Test & Learn as a strategic capability for high-impact decision support," said Michelle Sanft, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Guitar Center.

Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) announced today that Guitar Center, Inc., a leader in musical instrument retail, has renewed its license for APT's retail testing software. APT’s Test & Learn Management Solution™ is being used to drive dozens of high-impact tests within Guitar Center’s organization. The solution combines cutting-edge technology and smart design to provide a set of applications that retail organizations, such as Guitar Center, use to institutionalize a rigorous retail testing process. The APT solution allows Guitar Center to automate complex functions, such as data collection, apply sophisticated analytic tools required to design and interpret tests correctly and enables the organization to consistently generate clear output for each test.

Guitar Center will continue to apply APT’s Test & Learn for Sites™, Test & Learn for Customers™, and Market Basket Analyzer against a range of store, market, and customer-facing initiatives. In addition, Guitar Center has also agreed to license Test & Learn for Employees™, which will enable fine-tuned analysis at the employee-level to understand which employee-facing initiatives are driving enterprise performances. Combining the power of this suite will allow Guitar Center to measure and optimize program rollout across the enterprise, including both their in-store and on-line businesses. Guitar Center will continue working with APT across highly strategic functional areas such as pricing, marketing, merchandising, store operations, and capital investments.

Guitar Center is part of the growing list of top US retailers to license APT’s Test & LearnTM solution, joining well known leaders such as Lowe's, Big Lots!, and Staples. "Guitar Center identified APT’s Test & Learn as a strategic capability for high-impact decision support and we continue to be impressed by the solution and its potential within our organization. We look forward to continuing our partnership and joint success,” said Michelle Sanft, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Guitar Center.

"We are pleased to continue and build upon our relationship with Guitar Center to help them execute upon the many benefits available with our Test & Learn solution,” said Scott Setrakian, Managing Director of APT. “We look forward to supporting them as they continue to build upon their rapidly evolving business success and to providing additional strategic competitive differentiators to further solidify their position within the music retail industry.”
