Retail TouchPoints Launches iPhone App to Provide the Latest Retail Strategies On-The-Go

Retail TouchPoints (RTP), the industry’s go-to source for retail executives to find the latest coverage of customer engagement strategies, announced the launch of the Retail TouchPoints iPhone application available now for free via the Apple App Store.

With the new iOS application, users can access turnkey content covering shopper engagement strategies, industry news stories, thought leadership content, white papers, podcasts, E-books and webinars on their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

The demand for mobile-optimized content is increasing at a dramatic rate. Mobile traffic to the RTP site increased 339% in Q1 2011 from the same time last year, and mobile web visitors account for 15% of the traffic reaching the site.

The RTP application enables users to share content with peers and access the TouchPoints TV video archive, a periodic podcast that provides interactive retail commentary with leading retail industry executives from companies including GSI Commerce, HP, Motorola, IBM and others. Built on a peer-sharing platform, the RTP iPhone app allows users to read and comment on article content, and easily save items into a “favorites” folder.

Given the fast-paced, busy schedule of time-starved retail executives, the Retail TouchPoints iPhone app enables users to access interactive information on their hand-held devices via a user-friendly interface. App users also can sign up to receive the RTP weekly e-newsletter, which is delivered to more than 20,000 retail executives each Thursday.
