We started a conference to create a space within the industry where we can learn from each other and share ideas, free from the distractions of traditional conferences.

The 2011 Domain Convergence conference will be held May 12-13 in Montreal, Canada at La Place D’Arms Hotel and Suites in Montreal, Canada. Domain Convergence is a conference geared toward domainers, individuals who purchase and sell large quantities of domain names (known as “domaining”). Domaining is a multi million-dollar online real estate industry focused as much on portfolio building as it is on utilizing new Internet technology to expand business and increase capital.

Now in its third year, Domain Convergence is an exclusive gathering of domain name owners, developers, investors and entrepreneurs. This conference stands out against other domain events as an intimate, hands-on, un-conference during which attendees are given the opportunity to interact individually with thought leaders from all areas of the domainer community.

At Domain Convergence, domain industry luminaries come together to share cutting edge advances in the domain business and to learn moneymaking techniques that are inspirational and unexpected. In place of traditional conference panels, Domain Convergence offers 8 unique sessions ranging in topic from investing in web assets to ways in which domainers can use social media to their advantage to exploring Freemium as a monetization model.

Domain business guru and founder of Domain Convergence Frank Michlick has engineered the conference for intimate attendance and maximum individual interaction. Michlick explains: “Domain Convergence began as local DomainerDinner events during which domainers get together for an evening of social networking and open information exchange. These events were so successful that we started a conference to create a space within the industry where we can learn from each other and share ideas, free from the distractions of traditional conferences. For the Domain Convergence we expanded on the social aspect to add sessions with domain professionals that will provide you with valuable information and inspire new ideas & partnerships.”

2011 speakers include Randy Panté of FreshBooks, Sharon Hayes of Domaintate.com, Mark Jeftovic of EasyDNS and Nicolai Bezsonoff of .CO. Rick Silver of N49 will moderate the conference. Agendas have been posted at http://domainconvergence.com/agenda.
