BlackDog Recruiting Software announces a second recruiting software product - Gopher ATS. BlackDog has made a strategic decision to expand its recruiting software product line to include this new SAAS based product in conjunction with its popular Gopher for Recruiters desktop application. Gopher ATS has all the functionality of the desktop model with the added flexibility and accessibility of a SAAS based product. Gopher ATS has a beta release date of third quarter 2011.

Gopher ATS has embraced and directly addresses the needs and requirements of Direct Hire/HR recruiters. BlackDog identifies HR recruiters as those recruiters with clearly defined personnel hiring responsibilities who are employed by firms with an active Human Resources department.

The need to be proactive in recruiting key people for organizations has taken dramatic leaps in the last five years. The days are long past where an HR recruiter can run an ad in the newspaper or hang out a ‘Help Wanted' sign to entice highly qualified applicants in the door.

The Gopher ATS SAAS product has refined and re-tooled some of the aggressive tools used by third party recruiters that strive to seek out and hold on to those professionals with outstanding skills that make a difference in the bottom line of a business.

Some of the more notable features include the ability for candidates and hiring managers to interact with the product. Candidates can update their profiles and resumes online. The unique simplicity of the product allows for the ‘sometime users’ like hiring managers to log in online and use the software without the need for training.

Gopher ATS interacts with the customer’s website for posting positions and activity against those positions. The product has the ability to broadcast emails and, like the Gopher for Recruiters desktop application, has full integration with MS Outlook. When a recruiter sends an email via Outlook, the activity is automatically recorded in Gopher ATS thus eliminating the necessity for manual tracking of email correspondence. Also like the Gopher for Recruiters desktop application, Gopher ATS uses the Sovren resume parsing system which is considered by most recruiting professionals to be the best in the business.

Gopher ATS has something for third party recruiters too. The product has a fully defined CRM module and an open ended customizable reporting system for managing the sales process. This mimics the CRM capabilities of the Gopher for Recruiters desktop application but they are separated out as a standalone function in Gopher ATS.
