zumBrunnen, Inc., an independent building consulting firm, is presenting an educational session at the North Carolina Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging (NCANPHA) 2011 Spring Conference and Trade Show being held May 9-12 at the Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Asheville, NC. zumBrunnen’s session is categorized under the CFO track and is titled “Ensure Mission – Lower Operating Costs: New Solutions for Managers, Executives and Board Members” and will be held on Wednesday, May 11 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Attendees will earn 1 CEU for the course. The session will review how Executives and Board Members alike are responsible for ensuring the mission of the communities they serve and explain how long-term financial stability serves as the foundation to achieve overall objectives. zumBrunnen will cover how and why Executives and Boards need accurate and comprehensive reporting on the physical condition of their assets, how to ensure they have the program, staff and tools necessary to maintain their communities while being as efficient and green as practical, and that they have the funds to act strategically when physical changes are necessary. This session provides insight into the actions Board Members and Executives should implement to assure long-term preservation and performance of their physical assets.
