Hilton Head Vacation Rentals like many businesses these days have made a concentrated effort to produce and distribute quality videos throughout the many different media channels that are now available to market their vacation rental properties, as well as the area they conduct business.
In March of this year, comScore, Inc. who is a leader in measuring the digital world through their Video Metrix Service, indicated that nearly 82.5% of the US internet audience viewed a video online. Similarly Cisco Systems Inc. reported in 2010 that nearly 30% of internet traffic was video related and by 2013 they projected this number would increase to roughly 90%.
In an interview with Mike Wood, the General Manager of Hilton Head Vacation Rentals, he said, “We look at using video as a no brainer when it comes to marketing our properties. Who would rather see pictures of a potential vacation rental as opposed to a 2-3 minute video of the same thing? Ah..maybe someone who doesn’t know how to use a mouse to click the play button! The good news is that we have pictures too! Videos in our industry are somewhat of a new thing, yet we are always looking to be on the cutting edge of how we do business. Whether it’s being a leader in the Social Marketing arena with Facebook and Twitter or having our own iPhone app. Videos are just the next natural step to show our customers what they really want, which is a real life interpretation of the product without it being photo-shopped or blurry.”
After seeing a few of their videos firsthand it’s not hard to imagine why companies like Hilton Head Vacation Rentals are choosing to use video to help sell their product and the area they cater too.
