"I wanted to showcase all the great beer Michigan has to offer and make a positive statement about the state." Paul Starr, The Beerhound
Lansing, MI (PRWEB) May 07, 2011
Michigan Web Developer creates ImaBeerhound.com, a website dedicated to publicizing Michigan Brewed Beers, retailers that distribute and restaurants that serve that serve the products. ImaBeerhound.com provides categorical video reviews to assist the Micro-brew aficionado with finding out of the way places to enjoy their beer loving passion.
There’s a howl in the Michigan woods and it’s not a timber wolf crossing the mighty Mac. It’s the Beerhound, mild mannered web developer by day, passionate beer lover by night. The Beerhound’s regular identity is Paul Starr, owner of Paul Starr Productions, a website and video production company. His mission is to taste, review and educate Michigan consumers in the fine art of beer tasting, particularly Michigan’s finest Microbrews.
In less than a year, Starr has created the Beerhound persona via the website http://www.ImaBeerhound.com, a variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs and other beer related items. The site is generating more than a 300 visits a week; his Facebook site has acquired nearly 2,000 friends. The purpose of this promotional activity is to link the community of like minded beer lovers with Michigan proprietors. Paul or a member of his Beerhound staff personally visits each location, performing the taste test and video documenting their review. These video tastings are then posted YouTube and categorized by type of beer or by location on his site, http://www.ImaBeerhound.com. To date, they have recorded over 40 video reviews and are adding an average of 12 per month.
An Allied Trade Member of the Michigan Brewer’s Guild, Starr is always on the lookout for an out of the way establishment that serves an exceptional brew recipe or tasty menu. He recently decided to also include reviews of food served in many of these establishments. The only activity rivaling the Beerhound’s thirst for exotic beer is his appetite for great food. Few places offer better food than a microbrewery and the Beerhound takes every opportunity to combine exotic brew with appetizing food. New offerings included awarding recognition for Restaurant/Bar of the Month, Brewery of the Month and Retailer of the Month. Ten Howling Hound Ratings for Paul’s efforts. Sounds like a great job, how does one apply?
