Zappos.com, a leading destination in online apparel and footwear sales, announced the long-awaited launch of the Zappos mobile application for Android. This first version of the Android Mobile app puts Zappos in the marketplace with a core shopping experience. The Android app joins the iPad and iPhone in the Zappos app line-up, to complete the range of mobile offerings for the Zappos consumer. All apps are continually updated to offer an optimal user experience.
The iOS version of the Zappos Mobile app is one of very few shopping apps in the iTunes app store to consistently receive a 4-star average customer rating. According to Ian Klassen, Zappos Mobile Program Manager, the team hopes the wait for the Android app will be well worth it to Zappos customers.
“Rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach, our goal was to take what we’ve learned from our customers and try our best to tailor the Zappos.com shopping experience to each device we build for. If customers use the apps and communicate their feedback, we listen, and incorporate revisions in future releases.” said Klassen.
As with the Zappos app for iPad and iPhone, customers can now use their Android device to shop by categories including: Shoes, Clothing, Beauty, Bags & Handbags, Accessories, Housewares and New Products. Zappos.com customers also have full access to their existing account information including stored payment types, shipping addresses, favorites and order history.
