Tatto Media Extends Mobile Platform Across Asia thanks to Ozura World Deal

American mobile performance advertising network powerhouse Tatto Media has announced a deal to extend its platform across Hong Kong-based Ozura World's mobile community in Asia.

With a user base totaling to more than 270 million global users, the agreement will move the ranking of the two combined companies to the third spot in terms of the number of total unique global users, just behind global player Facebook at 500 million users and Tencent, with 400 million users in China.

The deal follows on from Ozura World’s acquisition of Tatto Media in April 2011. Tatto Media is a major mobile performance-advertising network based in America while Ozura World has a huge yet burgeoning mobile community in emerging countries. The deal struck between both parties is aimed at extending their networks for mutual benefit.

"Tatto Media is rapidly advancing its expansion overseas," said Lin Miao, CEO of Tatto Media. “This business partnership enables Tatto Media to capitalize on Ozura World’s strong local footprint in the Asian markets and its ability to monetize the mobile Internet traffic of emerging markets”, he added. "Today's announcement changes the face of mobile social networking throughout Asia, as the millions of mobile users in emerging markets are now within reach," he added.

The alliance between both companies will help Tatto Media expand beyond the borders of matured markets like North America and Europe, while Hong Kong-based Ozura World, which is big in Asia and emerging countries, will get access to users in more developed markets. Both companies will thus be able to rapidly expand their mobile platform strategies, where they target regions where mobile phones are more frequently used and have more significance than computers.
