On June 1st, 2011, Alpine Physical Therapy and Wellness (Alpine PT) will begin operating under a new name. The clinics located in both Fraser and Granby, Colorado, established and managed by Lori K. Myers, PT, GCFP, will join the Howard Head Sports Medicine Team.
Since 1982, Alpine PT has provided therapy services to the Fraser and Granby communities. Myers, both a Physical Therapist and former ski instructor realized after her first visit to the Winter Park area that there would be no better place to settle down than this beautiful part of Colorado. “The people are wonderful and the scenery is like nowhere else”, states Myers. “And besides, if I hadn’t settled in this community, I may have never had the opportunity to meet my wonderful, crop-dusting pilot of a husband (and now current Mayor of Winter Park) who had neck pain as a result of a plane crash,” smiles Myers.
“For nearly 30 years, the team at Alpine PT is proud to have had the opportunity to serve the Winter Park area. We strive to provide exceptional care in an atmosphere that has been both comfortable and motivating.” added Myers. “Building on this tradition of quality, I am excited about my decision to join forces with Howard Head Sports Medicine (HHSM). HHSM has proven to mirror the values and quality that I pride myself in as a Physical Therapist, as a business owner, and as a member of this community. ”
HHSM is an independently owned and operated Physical Therapy company. With clinics throughout Colorado and the Denver area, HHSM has emerged as a best-practices leader in Physical Therapy. With a strong commitment to patient care, community outreach and a focus on physician and hospital partners, HHSM operates 12 clinics in Colorado, supported by over 30 certified specialists and four research scientists. While maintaining the largest Sports Residency Program in the United States with 17 active residents in SCS and OCS training, HHSM has earned a reputation as one of the most energized and progressive workplaces in Physical Therapy today.
Steve Stalzer, Regional President of Howard Head Sports Medicine states, “We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome Lori and her team to HHSM. Lori is a staple in the Fraser and Granby communities and is highly respected for her clinical skills and the personal connection she establishes with her patients.”
We anticipate the transition from Alpine PT to HHSM to be seamless and without interruptions to patient care. Hours of operation, current staff and all contact information will not change. “While the foundation of services and values will remain the same, we look forward to enhancing these locations with the additional resources that we can provide Lori and her clinics”, concludes Stalzer.
