This is the best fundraising idea ever!!!!

Easy Fundraising Ideas, the leading online resource for fundraising ideas for schools, sports organizations, religious groups and non profits, released its first FREE Facebook Fundraising Application late last week.

The free application is available to any individual or group with a Facebook page that also needs to raise money. Once the application is activated groups publicize their fundraiser both on Facebook and by using other free promotional tools.

Friends and supporters are asked to donate $10. In return for each $10 donation the donor is given a $25 gift certificate to Restaurant.com that can be used at any of more than 18,000 participating restaurants throughout the United States. The fundraising group earns $4 on each gift certificate ordered.

"We've thought about this for a long time," said Howard Gottlieb, President of Easy Fundraising Ideas. "For years people have searched for fundraisers on the major search engines. But many of the people needing to raise money spend a lot of time on Facebook."

The Facebook Fundraiser combines the popularity of Facebook with the kind of high profit, no upfront cost fundraising ideas Easy Fundraising Ideas provides to nearly 10,000 groups every single year.

People go through a simple sign up process which is used to create the Facebook application. The process takes less than a minute.

"When you think about it most groups raise money by approaching friends and family," said Gottlieb. "Facebook users already have a platform that identifies all of those family and friends and provides the resources to promote a group's fundraiser."

Nearly 800 groups signed up for the Facebook Fundraiser in the first 72 hours.

Fundraising groups are provided the tools to promote their fundraiser on their Facebook walls as well as through email campaigns, Twitter and other promotional channels. The fundraiser can be ongoing so groups can use it as a year round revenue source.

Groups are paid on the 15th of every month. Group administrators are given access to a detailed dashboard that shows them all activity for their fundraiser.

"Based on the strength of this release we are working on releasing at least 4 other Facebook fundraising options before the end of the summer," Gottlieb said.
