Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) May 04, 2011
Key experts from Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global systems integrator, will be featured speakers at the upcoming SplunkLive! conference on May 12 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. The conference will detail how more than 2,300 organizations from around the world are using Splunk. ID is a key official partner for Splunk in the U.S. Public Sector. Splunk provides software that collects, indexes and harnesses the machine data generated by an organization’s systems and infrastructure, and then allows users to quickly and easily search, monitor and analyze this data via a web-style interface.
ID experts Nathan Rickman, vice president of civilian and Virginia intelligence programs, and Roy Stephan, vice president of technology solutions, will speak on how ID leverages Splunk for Operational Intelligence. Both speakers will highlight how Splunk helps fully leverage real-time monitoring of computer systems’ business processes and activities. Specifically, Mr. Rickman will detail the importance of continuous monitoring of IT software and systems in detecting compliance and risk issues. The topic of Mr. Stephan’s speech will be Splunk and Cloud-based, or “virtual,” computer server systems as a way to increase capacity and add capabilities to data centers.
“This is a unique opportunity to help showcase the invaluable contributions that Splunk has made to streamlining the data processes of IT applications, systems and infrastructures for businesses worldwide,” said Harry Martin, president and CEO of Intelligent Decisions. “Intelligent Decisions’ experts are working closely with Splunk to help integrate and leverage its capabilities when it comes to the monitoring and analysis of the critical systems and infrastructure that serve as the backbone of many agencies.”
