Smartphones and mobile apps are making the day better for consumers in every way—from getting the latest news, to downloading a best selling book, or making dinner reservations at the hottest restaurant in town, it’s difficult to remember when there ‘wasn’t an app for that.’
Now, a new mobile app from HMSHost Corporation will liberate consumers—travelers specifically—from the stress of finding a quick bite before they board their planes.
Beginning Thursday, May 5th travelers through JFK’s Delta Terminal 3 will be able to download the B4YouBoard mobile app from Apple’s App Store. Travelers can then order a meal from Balducci’s or Chili’s Too, pay for the meal using their smartphone, and have the meal delivered directly to them at the gate. Meals may also be picked up at the easy-to-locate B4YouBoard kiosk next to Chili’s Too in T3.
HMSHost created the B4YouBoard app specifically to make the traveler’s day better and help him or her get from the airport curb to the gate without having to worry whether or not there is time to grab a bite to eat long the way.

HMSHost is partnering with Arlington, VA-based technology developer Airside Mobile to launch B4YouBoard on Airside's mobile transaction platform, developed specifically for airport services. Airside's technology is designed to let passengers order, reserve, and pay for meals, retail items, and premium services at the airport—rapidly and securely from their smartphones.

B4YouBoard is available for free download at Apple’s App Store. The mobile app pilot program is initially available for iPhone users and will be offered for Android users this summer. HMSHost plans to roll out the B4YouBoard program to additional airports in 2011.
