THOR, a world leading travel services company, today announced it has won a 2011 Gold Key Award from the Colorado Chapter of the Business Marketing Association for its monthly travel agent newsletter, THOR Advantage. The recognition took place at the annual Gold Key Awards banquet Friday, April 22, 2011, at The Wildlife Experience.

THOR Advantage is a theme and destination-based monthly newsletter provided to THOR member travel agents. Articles discuss current topics in the travel industry and feature THOR’s member hotels and travel suppliers. THOR Advantage won a silver award in the category of newsletter/magazine – external newsletter/magazine by accomplishing its strategy of increasing readership through improving the newsletter’s layout, articles and areas of discussion to focus more on the target audience of travel agency members.

The Gold Key Awards is recognized as Colorado’s most prestigious competition dedicated solely to business-to-business marketing communications. This year’s program included almost 150 entries from Colorado’s top B2B businesses and agencies. Entries were reviewed by a panel of six independent judges from across the country representing agency and corporate marketing professionals. Only 20% of the entries received a Silver award.
