Tampa, FL (PRWEB) May 09, 2011
After taking home the most honors at the Tampa ADDY® Awards in February, Dunn&Co. received the Public Service Best of Show “Charlie” award at the District ADDYs for its work on behalf of the ALS Association Florida Chapter. The American Advertising Federation’s Fourth District ADDY Awards Gala, held in Miami on April 30th, recognized the year’s best advertising throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
The “Charlie” was awarded to Dunn&Co. for the agency’s campaign, “The Ride”, created to promote the Ride to Defeat ALS annual cycling event that raises funds to help fight Lou Gehrig's Disease. Dunn&Co.’s ambient campaign depicts bicycles casting shadows of wheel chair bound individuals, reading, “Get ready for the ride of someone’s else’s life.” Dunn&Co. also took home a silver District ADDY for “The Ride.” campaign.
“We’re pleased that our work to help promote the ALS Association’s Ride to Defeat ALS has been recognized as the best non-profit promotional communications in our ADDY district,” said Troy Dunn, president of Dunn&Co. “We feel a great deal of satisfaction supporting the awareness movement for Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and when our work in that regard is further recognized by the advertising community as beyond exceptional, it’s extremely encouraging for both Dunn&Co. and the ALS Association.”
Dunn&Co.’s current client relationships include: GE Healthcare, the Island of Bonaire, The Melting Pot Restaurants, Valpak, Hollister, Baxter Healthcare, Sempermed, Remy Cointreau, Mellow Mushroom, the Atlantic Coast Conference and Florida’s Department of Transportation.
The American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards represent the world's largest advertising competition, with more than 60,000 entries annually. The American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association, conducts the ADDY Awards through its 200-member advertising clubs and 15 districts. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry.
