Bobadilla will be presenting a free three hour continuing education seminar on construction claims and cost containment in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 18, 2011. This course is targeted for level one CE licensing needs for insurance adjusters and risk managers. Lynne Jurek Shannon is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota in 1987, majoring in both English and Business Organization. She also studied at Exeter University in England in 1986. She received her Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1991. Lynne was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in 1991. She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1992 and is also admitted to practice and before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as United States District Courts- Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. She has also been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in Louisiana.

Her practice includes Construction, General Maritime Defense and Casualty Litigation, Personal Injury Insurance Defense (Commercial, Auto and Premises Liability), General Commercial Litigation, Hospitality Law, Healthcare/Nursing Home Litigation, Governmental Entity Litigation, D.T.P.A. Litigation, Subrogation (property damage and extortion recovery), Product Liability Litigation, Toxic Tort Litigation, as well as Corporate, Real Estate and Appellate Law. Lynne is a keen and avid litigator who has extensive experience in handling cases in state and federal courts, from inception of the case through trial and appeal.

Doris Theresa Bobadilla is the Managing Director of GJTBS’ Mandeville, Louisiana office. Doris is admitted to the State Bars of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1991 from Loyola University New Orleans and her Juris Doctor in December, 1995 from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, Louisiana. The New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association honored Doris with the Camille Gravel Public Service Award. She is also a past recipient of the Executive Women International, New Orleans Chapter’s Representative of the Year Award. Doris has an extensive background in civil and workers’ compensation litigation, having represented defendants, employers, third party administrators, and carriers before state, federal, and administrative courts.

Doris’ trial experience began as an Assistant District Attorney, Orleans Parish, State of Louisiana, where she handled jury and judge felony trials. She has handled civil trials in Orleans Parish, St. Tammany Parish and Livingston Parish, Louisiana, the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, Jones County and Hinds County, Mississippi, and the United States District Court, Southern District of Mississippi. She has also tried claims before the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission. Doris has provided seminars on the topics of employer's liability, workers' compensation, insurance coverage, and subrogation law. Doris’ specific areas of practice include employment law, workers' compensation, insurance coverage, subrogation, and general liability.
