Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) May 06, 2011
The battered home remodeling industry has had its share of challenges in the past few years, but Legacy Remodeling President Jeff Moeslein has faced every one of them head-on. That’s why Moeslein was one of twelve Western Pennsylvania business leaders chosen by the Pittsburgh Business Times as a 2011 Diamond Award winner.
Started five years ago, the Diamond Awards recognize outstanding leaders in the Western Pennsylvania business community. Moeslein was chosen by a panel of prestigious judges for his tenacity in leading Legacy Remodeling through the recession and his focus on changing the company’s marketing tactics to reflect emerging trends in the marketplace.
Referring to Moeslein’s leadership during the recession, Legacy Remodeling Director of Sales Alan Levine said that no matter how bad things got, “He never lost confidence. We never hit the panic button.” Instead, Moeslein began meeting daily with all of his employees to strategize on how to improve sales and began shifting the company’s marketing efforts to focus on guerilla-marketing tactics that emphasized face-to-face interaction with customers.
Moeslein’s tactics have paid off; Legacy Remodeling continues to be the largest specialty remodeler in the area and was ranked by Remodeling Magazine as one of the nation’s 50 Best Remodelers. Additionally, the company has expanded its product offerings to include design build and kitchen services, in addition to replacement windows, doors, roofing, siding, and decks.
Legacy Remodeling was founded by Jeff’s parents, Ken and Linda Moeslein, in 1987 as Swing Line Windows. Over the past 24 years, the company has slowly expanded its product offerings beyond replacement windows, leading to a rebranding effort under the name “Legacy Remodeling,” that was led by Jeff Moeslein when he became president in 2007. Legacy Remodeling installs more than 700 projects each year and has helped more than 20,000 homeowners in Western Pennsylvania and parts of Ohio and West Virginia improve their homes with its products.
