Undici Taverna Rustica is proud to announce that it was recently visited by famous New Jersey foodie, Rosie Saferstein. Saferstein is a food writer for New Jersey Monthly magazine, njmonthly.com, and has her own popular column "Table Hopping With Rosie" which features New Jersey restaurant news, food event listings, as well as information about New Jersey chefs. Her well documented dining experience at Undici personifies the vision co-owner, Vic Rallo, area restaurateur and Internet/TV personality, had for his guests when establishing Undici.
“We were transported to a rustic Tuscan farmhouse when we entered Undici Taverna Rustica. We were immediately put into a “let’s eat” mood.” Commented Saferstein.
“We were thrilled to have Rosie at Undici. She’s been a fan of my restaurants for years and it was great to see that she and her guests understood my vision and were impressed with the experience we offered them.” Said Rallo.
Established in 2008, Undici Taverna Rustica is a faithful recreation of a Tuscan farmhouse. Replete with ancient stone, authentic wood, and masterful tile and plaster work all provisioned by Rallo’s partners, the Diaco Family, transport you to Italy as soon as you step over the threshold. The rustic cuisine is curiously reflective of its surroundings. Rallo and Diaco are committed to their vision of presenting their customers with the traditional “Italian Table.” They achieve this by sourcing only the purest, freshest local ingredients available as well as importing products from Italy, for their menu.
If you ask Rallo, he’ll simply say, “I always tell people that if you can’t afford the trip to Tuscany, then stop by and dine with us at Undici. You will leave with new friends, a discovered passion for Italian wines, and a new genuine appreciation for food from the Italian Table. A beautiful ambiance, great food, and an unmatched award winning wine list, make us the very best of Italy in Rumson, New Jersey.” Added Rallo.
