The Emergency Room at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center (FHMMC) (http://www.floridalhospitalmemorial.org) has the experience and processes in place to stop a heart attack or stroke within minutes.

“ We are a nationally accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center,” said Alex Heggblod, director of emergency services at FHMMC. “In order to receive this accreditation, our Department must have the processes in place to stop a heart attack or stroke within minutes of the patent's arrival.”

In addition, the Emergency Department also offers a unique “No Wait” promise ensuring local residents fast access to the Department’s ER services.

“We have 53 private patient rooms that help us accommodate any influx in emergent patient needs.” Heggblod said. “That’s why we can guarantee that any patient needing emergency services can see a health professional in five minutes or less of their arrival to our emergency department.”

The Department is staffed 24 hours a day with highly skilled nurses, paramedics, technicians, emergency trained physicians and physicians assistants.

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s expert team of physicians and nurses are devoted to providing the best possible care to the community.
