No Roses Gallery, an upscale, modern gallery with an urban edge has opened its doors in Sherman Oaks. The combination art gallery and artisan jewelry boutique features over a dozen rotating collections handcrafted by independent, small-batch designers and artists - most of them local to the Los Angeles metro area, and many of them newly emerging on the art scene.
Each artist has a unique point of view, celebrating their chosen media and materials including: wearable angora fiber art, sculptural jewelry displays in wood, copper and brass, original limited edition photographs, jewelry in silver, gold, gemstones, pearls, bamboo, glass, lucite and more. Among the exhibitors are: Jewelry designer Tarra Rosenbaum, photographer Sheri Lynn Behr, master metalsmith studio DARK+DAWN and jewelry display designer CalDIY.
Owners Lisa and Tracy Hall launched their gallery as a warm, inviting place to visit, in the heart of a burgeoning “celebrity row” on Ventura Boulevard - just down the street from Melissa Joan Hart's SweetHarts, Tori Spelling's Inventori and Belle Grey from Lisa Rinna.
“We carry original jewelry from over a dozen designers, limited edition artwork and one-of-a-kind gifts in an inviting, friendly and helpful atmosphere where the work is beautifully displayed and easy to touch,” says Lisa. “We have a unique selection of artwork from sweet and simple to elegant and unusual. We love helping people finding an affordable and very special gift.”
No Roses is also an active merchant in KCRW’s Fringe Benefits program (10-20% off jewelry for members all year long) and this Fall, will partner with Los Angeles County Museum of Art to offer LACMA regulars similar member benefits.
No Roses Gallery also works with costumers/wardrobe professionals in the television and film industry to provide jewelry and accessories for projects. They provide on-call appointments for “pulls” and offer excellent terms and benefits, including no restocking fee and longer duration memos.
No Roses is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from Noon until 5pm.
