Leading PV system design application to be rolled out to more than 10,000 renewable energy dealers.

“Offering SolarDesignTool to our dealers is another example of our commitment to helping our dealers gain a significant competitive advantage in the market,” said Daniel Marino, Executive Vice President of SolarNet Holdings.

Verdiseno, Inc. announced today the implementation of SolarDesignTool’s cobranded solution for SolarNet Holdings, LLC, recently formed by the consolidation of DC Power Systems and Solar Depot, the industry’s top distributors. SolarDesignTool is the industry’s leading web application for Photovoltaic (PV) system design. The consolidation of DC Power Systems and Solar Depot makes SolarNet the largest distribution company in the industry, serving more than ten thousand renewable energy dealers throughout North and South America and the Caribbean.

“Verdiseno is excited to broaden the reach of SolarDesignTool through SolarNet’s vast network of PV dealers and installers,” said Derek Mitchell, President of Verdiseno, Inc.

SolarDesignTool is a software as a service (SaaS) platform that streamlines complicated residential and small commercial grid-tied PV system design, accelerating and simplifying the typically labor-intensive and costly steps that are part of the design process. PV professionals use SolarDesignTool’s intuitive user interface to generate design options for multiple selected inverters and modules. The tool handles both the string sizing and the layout of solar panels. SolarDesignTool facilitates proposal and technical design processes, reducing lead response time as well as accelerating project permitting.

“Offering SolarDesignTool to our dealers is another example of our commitment to helping our dealers gain a significant competitive advantage in the market,” said Daniel Marino, Executive Vice President of SolarNet Holdings.

SolarDesignTool’s cobranded solution allows distributors to modify the look and feel of the app, and utilize additional features that enable interaction with their dealers. SolarDesignTool.com offers a free “Pro” version and a low-price “Expert” monthly subscription version to the general public, setting itself apart from other costly desktop software solutions. More than 340,000 designs have been created with SolarDesignTool since its launch in late 2009.
