By providing mobile coupon redemption at the credit card terminal and POS, we enable merchants to track revenue driven from mobile campaigns. Merchants can see the results and adjust campaigns to drive additional sales.

Street Savings announced today that it will showcase its innovative mobile marketing products at the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) Annual Meeting & Expo, May 10-12 in San Diego. Street Savings will show how its mobile marketing products move value using text messaging, popular gift and loyalty programs, and widely available hardware. In collaboration with three of its gift and loyalty partners, Valutec, Secure Payment Systems, and Synergy World, Street Savings will give conference attendees the chance to receive mobile text-message offers from restaurants and retail merchants in San Diego’s famous Gaslamp Quarter.

Street Savings will be in Booth #1132.

Street Savings Mobile Coupons and Mobile Rewards products are designed specifically for bankcard resellers. “They are easy and affordable for merchants, quick-to-provision, and work with the credit card terminals and point-of-sale (POS) systems agents already sell,” according to Pal Flagg, Street Savings COO. “These value-added products increase sales for merchants and can easily bundle with an agent’s other offerings,” he adds.

Text messages are opened within minutes and redeemed at a rate of 10 times that of paper coupons. In the Street Savings booth, conference attendees will be able to opt-in to receive text message offers from Gaslamp Quarter merchants using a variety of methods: ATM kiosk, ‘text-to-join,’ credit card terminal, POS, web sign-up, social media, QR codes, and ‘tap-to-join’ via near-field communication (NFC). Offers, such as “Get $10 off,” will be available from Gaslamp Quarter merchants including Nicky Rottens, Sloppy Joey’s, So Good Jewelry, Extreme Pizza, Funky Garcia’s, Tabule Restaurant and Bar, Trattoria La Strada, Monsoon, and Masala Spices of India. Merchants may use their credit card terminal or POS to track redemption.

Together with leading hardware manufacturers and gift and loyalty processors, Street Savings has developed a closed-loop mobile marketing environment that is moving value today. The products use the same terminals bankcard reps are familiar with and merchants have on their counters. “By providing mobile coupon redemption at the credit card terminal and POS, we enable merchants to track revenue driven from mobile campaigns. Merchants can see the results and adjust campaigns to drive additional sales,” says Flagg.

Street Savings integration with existing closed-loop networks gives merchants a mobile coupon redemption system now that can transition seamlessly to NFC-enabled handsets and merchant terminals as that technology becomes more widely available to support mobile payments.
