As part of their Town Hall Speaker Series, the Colorado Restaurant Association has asked nutrition analysis experts at FoodCALC to host an educational seminar for attendees of their annual WestEx show. The leading company in web-based nutrition analysis for the food industry, FoodCALC is expected to host a comprehensive overview of nutrition labeling and its effect on the restaurant industry.
The San Francisco-based company has announced that Lucy Logan, Founder & CEO, will present information on menu labeling laws including how providing calorie information can benefit restaurant businesses through nutrition; tips and tricks for displaying nutrition information to maximize diner satisfaction; and valuable information about the upcoming national menu labeling law and how it will affect the industry.
By popular request, testimonials from restaurant operators will also be featured. These operators have shared secrets of their success in providing customers with nutrition information. "When we begun research on this, we knew we had to present it to the industry,” said Lucy. “The stories were too compelling."
Lucy's highly anticipated presentation is not the first time the young CEO has impressed upon the restaurant and foodservice industry. Her past speaking engagements include: the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo; U.S. Foodservice San Francisco Division, 2010 Food Show; U.S. Foodservice Atlanta Division, 2011 Food Show; the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show; the National Restaurant Association Information Technology Study Group; and the San Francisco Professional Food Society. Lucy was also a panel member for the Big Success Business Pitch and the San Francisco Entrepreneur Challenge, and has lead numerous webinars for the Food Institute and other industry associations as an expert in her field. Her expertise has been shared on topics that include the restaurant industry, marketing and monetizing nutrition information, technology, profit building using nutrition information and menu labeling laws.
