Manhattan Retailer Gracious Homes to Showcase Robert Sonneman’s Prolific Lighting Designs

Robert Sonneman, Lighting’s Modern Master, has partnered with iconic Manhattan retailer Gracious Homes to showcase some of Sonneman’s prolific lighting designs. Showcased in their front window, on the corner of 3rd Avenue and 71st Street. Gracious Home’s Upper East Side location will feature a new 20' gallery displaying 17 of Sonneman’s latest creations plus additional pieces from various periods over his forty year design career.

In the collection created for the Gracious Home gallery, one of Robert’s latest master pieces is a series called DICHROIX. " The dichroic coating creates and optical filter that transmits certain wavelengths of light and reflects others. It requires a complex process, only mastered by a handful of skilled craftsman," said Robert Sonneman .

The Another featured lamp will be the classic Mack floor torchiere based on the 1902 Charles Rene Macintosh Grid chair. The white etched glass shade and satin black finish create a crisp modern look and has been featured in many design events for decades.
