"It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition. My discovery was the result of musical perception." (When asked about his theory of relativity) - Albert Einstein

Music is an important part of our society in many ways. Studies show that learning to play an instrument, regardless of age, positively affects other areas of human development such as social skills, I.Q. levels, and happiness. However, starting at an early age is key to academic and physiological progress during childhood.
The guitar is becoming the most prominent instrument of choice for new students getting involved in music. Primarily, this is because of the ease and mobility of the instrument, but also because the large and growing influence of modern music is focused around the guitar and relatives of the guitar.
Lynchburg Guitar Lessons has been passionately serving the Lynchburg, VA area for over 6 years. At LGL, they know the importance of music in our everyday lives, and are trying to make it more accessible to individuals and families in the Central Virginia region.
Providing private lessons in the home cuts costs for both the studio and the student by taking away all the overhead of a conventional retail location - a savings that is needed in this current economy. At $30 per hour, LGL's standard rate is approximately half of other studios that are not mobile.
Time is also a factor in taking music lessons (or any other activities for that matter). After adding up all the time driving to and from a studio, then waiting in the car (if you are the parent), a short music lesson can become a one or two hour affair. Add that to everything else we have to do: work, school, sports, church, housekeeping, and (last, but not least) family time and quickly find out that our time is limited and precious.
Although at LGL the lesson rate is less expensive, the quality and professionalism of the instructors is second to none. All instructors have at least 15 years of experience learning and studying guitar through personal lessons, live performances, and studio recording experience. They go through a rigorous training process to become Registered Guitar Tutors and complete continuing education every year to brush up skills both in playing and in teaching.
Music will never go away nor will it be any less important, despite a sour economy. Lynchburg Guitar Lessons is striving to provide affordable, private guitar lessons to the greater Lynchburg, VA community to keep the music alive.
