We pride ourselves in having the best facilities, the most experienced sales and catering team, and the most versatile space in town.

Offering guests superior Halifax Conference facilities, readers of Progress Magazine voted the Westin Nova Scotian hotel as the best place for special events in the 2011 readers’ poll. Progress Magazine polls savvy business travelers each year to determine their favorite old spots and new hot spots throughout Atlantic Canada.

“We pride ourselves in having the best facilities, the most experienced sales and catering team, and the most versatile space in town. With over 23,000 square feet of conference space, we have the unique ability to cater to a diverse range of needs and to provide instinctive, personalized service,” says Guido Kerpel, General Manager at the Westin Nova Scotian.

The 2009 and 2010 Halifax Security Forums with the German Marshall Fund of the United States were hosted at the downtown Halifax hotel. The forum brings together world leaders, defense ministers, and policy makers for an intellectual exchange. The hotel transformed their lobby into a lounge and their Commonwealth Ballroom, a television studio. The security forum was the biggest event of its kind ever held in North America.

The Westin also gives visitors the finest in service and Nova Scotia Cuisine. Drinks in Eve Lounge or a famous Sunday Brunch are others reasons the Westin was given this award.

The Halifax hotel is listed in the 2011 Best of the East reader’s poll. The list reveals the best places throughout Eastern Canada to eat, sleep, dine, host meetings, work-out and shop. Progress is an Atlantic Canadian Magazine intended to promote wealth creation through profitable business growth. They chronicle the stories of Atlantic Canada’s entrepreneurs and businesses, and reveal key insights for readers.
