Kauai marketing firm, Tsunami Marketing, celebrates their 20th anniversary with a plan to donate $20,000 in professional services, plus $20,000 in services from partner companies to a Hawaii-based non-profit organization for a future project. Non-profits are encouraged to apply by June 30.

“We want to help a Hawaii-based non-profit organization do something truly extraordinary for the greater Hawaii community," Val Rekward, Tsunami Marketing

Celebrating 20 years of operating a business in Hawaii, the award-winning marketing firm, Tsunami Marketing, is planning to give away $20,000 in marketing services to a Hawaii-based non-profit organization. In addition, Tsunami’s collaborative partners will match the donation with $20,000 in marketing services. The $40,000 worth of professional expertise covers a wide spectrum of online, print and visual communication tools. Tsunami Marketing specializes in brand development, logo design, web sites, print materials and retail design. Partners specialize in social media, public relations, copy writing, photography, visual communication and printing. Titled 20/20 Hawaii, the program seeks qualifying non-profit organizations to fill in an application by June 30, 2011. The application is located at http://2020Hawaii.com.

Non-profit organizations need to be established in Hawaii (not part of a national organization), need a 501 C 3 designation by the IRS, employ at least one full-time staff member and operate within a budget of $100,000 to $1,000,000 per year. The connection of the project with the organization’s mission and purpose will be taken into account.

A committee made up of representatives across Hawaii will review applications and narrow the field to five organizations. The public will then have the chance to vote for their favorite non-profit organization, with the winner announced in September. According to Tsunami Marketing’s Managing Partner, Val Rekward, “We want to help a Hawaii-based non-profit organization do something truly extraordinary for the greater Hawaii community.”

The winning selection will receive $40,000 worth of pro bono services including features such as brand development, web site design, print design, copy writing, public relations, photography, social media and visual communication tools. Tsunami Marketing’s seven partners include Scott Jorgenson Base Camp, Edward Enterprises, Franzen Photography, Kevin Creative, Margy Parker & Associates, Rory Phoenix Creative and Verve Northwest Communication. Partners are based in both Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. Rekward says that, “Tsunami Marketing and its partners want to support a non-profit organization that would make a discernable difference to the community.”

Tsunami Marketing is a boutique brand development agency located in Kalaheo, Kauai. The firm creates brands, identities, and marketing materials for clients in Hawaii, on the mainland, in Canada and the South Pacific region.
