Rising UFC Fighter Nick Catone met with hundreds of loyal fans April 30 at the DUB Auto Show Tour at New York City's Jacob Javitz Center.
Waiting in a line that was over two hours long, UFC fans of all ages eagerly waited their turn to pose for a photo, get an autograph and share a few words with the up-and-coming star.
"There are a lot of amazing things about being a UFC fighter, but by far my favorite part is getting to meet with the fans," Catone said. "It's a sport that continues to grow, and that is evidenced by the crowds we see at all of these great events."
Catone, nicknamed "The Jersey Devil," is a rising star in the UFC's Middleweight division and has quickly made his way through the ranks of mixed martial arts competition after getting his start in May 2007. Less than two years later, he made his debut on the world's largest MMA stage, the UFC, opening with a submission win in Tampa, Fla. Ever since, Catone has been a force to be reckoned with in the league.
Although he has found success with MMA competition, Catone is also a skilled boxer and wrestler. He graduated in 2004 from Rider University, where he amassed over 100 wins in Division I NCAA wrestling and helped lead the Broncs to two conference championships. In addition, he holds a Brown Belt rank in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu.
