In conjunction with PLS Consulting, MEA offers a two-day Field Leader Training Program. Participants receive practical, hands-on experience in creating rapport with crews, as well as creating desired leadership. Certificates of Completion and CEU credits are provided. CenterPoint Energy in Minneapolis is hosting MEA’s June 22-24, 2011 training.
To succeed "on the line" takes a lesson in balance. Traditional supervisory training programs, if used at all, fail field leaders. They don't address the situation of someone both on the team and leading it as well. That's why PLS Consulting, based on extensive industry surveys and research, has developed a unique program for field leaders. "On The Line: Building Team-Leader Skills" is a training program designed to help build and improve field leader skills. It focuses on leadership skills that enable the field leader to effectively direct the activities of their crew and to communicate with management.
