Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 11, 2011
Last June Interlog Summer, the premier global service parts supply chain and reverse logistics conference for hi tech manufacturers, hosted the first annual Service Supply Chain Awards Luncheon in San Diego, CA. The awards were established to honor, recognize, and promote service logisticians who have demonstrated innovation, leadership, and remarkable customer support during the past years.
The Service Supply Chain Awards program hosted 3 awards. The winner of the most innovative customer support initiative of the year award was Larry Maye, Chief Operating Officer of Precision Camera & Video Repair. The reverse logistics implementation of the year award went to Image Microsystems' e-Waste Plastic Products Manufacturing. Service logistician of the year was awarded to Min Zhou, Program Manager, Global Planning at NetApp.
Following on the success of the inaugural awards ceremony, Interlog Summer is hosting its second annual awards luncheon at the 2011 event on June 15 at the Omni Hotel in Los Angeles. This year the award category is service parts logistician of the year. Nominations can be easily submitted via the Interlog Summer web site (http://www.interlogsummer.com, click on the Awards tab) and only takes a few minutes. All nominations must be submitted by Friday, May 13, 2011 and every person who nominates a colleague will be entered into a drawing to win a new iPad! The drawing will take place at Interlog Summer 2011 on June 14th. You do not need to be present to win.
“We are very excited to bring this award program and recognition to the service supply chain industry for another year,” says Debra Haym, general manager of Interlog Summer. “While we have been highlighting manufacturers’ service operations success stories at the event for over 13 years, the awards program is a unique way to recognize the executives in this niche community who are continually enhancing the service industry.”
