After 34 years of providing quality tour experiences for discerning travelers, Shebby Lee Tours has created a Facebook page to complement its website, and offer background information and “fun stuff” to travelers preparing for their upcoming adventure. While the company website (http://www.shebbyleetours.com) provides the who, what, where, and when of upcoming tours of the western United States, its Facebook page supplies the “why.”

Filled with fun facts, trivia, and opportunities to interact with fellow passengers and history buffs, the Shebby Lee Tours Facebook page offers fans a chance to learn the stories behind the places they will be visiting. It also provides an opportunity for participants to get acquainted before the trip, and re-connect with those they have already traveled with. Travelers are encouraged to share their favorite resources such as books, websites, museums, and living history or weigh in on issues past and present which have affected the development of the Great American West.

Shebby Lee Tours is also on Twitter, and company owner, Shebby Lee, writes a regular Travel Blog at http://www.shebbyleetours.com/news, keeping travelers up to date on her latest travels in the course of developing new tour itineraries.

To launch the new Facebook page, Shebby Lee Tours conducted a contest for those “Liking” the company. The winner, Dan Modes, won $75 off his next Shebby Lee tour. More promotions are planned to help people find the informative Facebook page.

While some programs are already sold out, space is still available on the Old West Trail (June 18-24, 2011). This 7-day Denver circle tour includes the Little Bighorn Battlefield (“Custer’s Last Stand”), Oregon Trail sites including forts and the opportunity to ride in the actual ruts created by pioneer wagon wheels more than 150 years ago, the scenic Black Hills of South Dakota, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, and Custer State Park.
