Last year we held a State Leader PTA Roundtable Conference and found that the leaders who attended left empowered with new ideas and tools to strengthen local PTA units in their state. So, we decided to make this an annual event in Pittsburgh.

Just Between Friends, the official communications and membership management system for Parent Teacher Association (PTA) as well as other mom-centric groups, will hold its second annual State PTA Leader Roundtable Conference in Pittsburgh May 12th – 14th.

State PTA Leaders from states with high concentrations of PTAs will participate, including CA, NY, FL, GA, MD, NJ, WA, OH and CT. Additionally, a representative from National PTA will participate in this year’s Just Between Friends State PTA Leader Roundtable Conference.

A pre-Roundtable Conference dinner will take place on Thursday night. During dinner, State PTA Leaders have the opportunity to meet and greet their peers from across the country as well as Just Between Friends staff members.

The State PTA Leader Roundtable Conference will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott at Settlers Ridge. During the Conference, State PTA Leaders will participate in workshops; share best practices and engage in dialogues enabling them to discover methods to strengthen their PTAs and simplify the lives of PTA leaders and parents.

“Although National PTA and State PTAs conduct conferences each year, we realized that there was a need to create a forum for these thought leaders to exchange ideas,” said David Radin, Founder and President of Just Between Friends. “Last year we held a State Leader PTA Conference and found that the leaders who attended left empowered with new ideas and tools to strengthen local PTA units in their state. So, we decided to make this an annual event here in Pittsburgh.”

Friday evening, after a visit to Just Between Friends headquarters in Mt. Lebanon, participants will enjoy a Pittsburgh unique dining experience aboard one of the magnificent riverboats of the Gateway Clipper Fleet. “We chose this venue for dinner so we could show off the spectacular city skyline as the sun sets on the three rivers of Pittsburgh,” said Eric Dickerson, Director of Business Development for Just Between Friends.

Just Between Friends is the official PTA communications and membership management system. The online system was developed to help PTAs efficiently communicate with their school community; earn revenue for their unit; and manage membership. The system also helps parents to manage their hectic lives by providing them with tools to easily access and organize their family’s activities.

As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, National Parent Teacher Association® (PTA) http://www.PTA.org provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child and the best tools to help their children be safe, healthy, and successful -- in school and in life.
