Company momentum also reflected in expanding customer base, staffing increases and selection for NCTA CIO.IT Competition at The Cable Show 2011

Affinegy, provider of intelligent home networking software solutions, today announced that its Home Portal software is helping over 7.6 million consumers manage their wireless home networks, an increase of 56% in just one year’s time.

As the connected home flourishes - the average home now uses six connected devices and projections indicate the use of 10 to 12 by 2012 - companies have recognized that the customer experience is paramount to business success.

Affinegy’s broadband service provider and equipment manufacturer customers distribute the Home Portal to help their users securely and easily discover, connect and manage their wireless home networks and all the components – PCs, game consoles, printers, connected TVs and more.

Existing Affinegy customers have dramatically increased their deployment footprints domestically and internationally in 30 languages, and new customers, including a top five broadband service provider, are catalysts for continued growth. A committee of cable Chief Information Officers reviewed over 45 applications and selected eight finalists to present their solutions to some of cable’s greatest IT challenges. Affinegy Chief Technology Officer Art Lancaster will speak on, “Driving Top Line Results by Managing the Last 50 Feet - The Subscriber’s Home Network and Devices.” Affinegy will also have a booth in the CableNET Pavilion, an area that features demonstrations of innovative next generation broadband content and applications.
