Frank’s, the country’s oldest manufacturer of premium sauerkraut, is inviting shoppers in the Chicagoland area to submit their photos for a chance to appear on the labels of Frank’s Sweet Sauerkraut and Frank’s Traditional Sauerkraut.

“We received a huge response when we launched our ‘Search for Sweetness’ program in Wisconsin, and now we’re looking for sauerkraut lovers in Chicago. We’d like people to show us how they make every day sweet, using our Sauerkraut. Those with the most active imaginations, who can surprise us with compelling photos that express the sweetness and usefulness of our product, will find themselves on our labels,” says Chris Smith, VP of Frank’s Sauerkraut. Frank’s is inviting individuals, families or groups to send their photos in for consideration. Frank’s Sweet Sauerkraut is a growing favorite, because many shoppers are just discovering it. Chicago restaurateur Brendan McKinney, of the nationally famous Chief O’Neill’s Restaurant, has integrated Sweet Sauerkraut into his menu to make a Sweet and Sauer Reuben. “The Sweet Sauerkraut puts a new zest and tang into the classic sandwich. All the fundamental flavors that popularized the Reuben are played up in the new Sweet and Sauer version. The Sweet Sauerkraut opens up a wide range of recipes; you could literally sweeten meals with it every day.”
