Heart Beat Drum and Dance Festival at Sunrise Ranch

The Second Annual Heart Beat Drum and Dance Festival, hosted by Sunrise Ranch Spiritual Retreat and Conference Center in Loveland, Colorado, will be happening from noon, Friday, June 3rd through Sunday morning, June 5th at Sunrise Ranch.

Workshops on drumming, drum circles and drum performances will occur throughout the day and evening during this weekend festival celebrating summer. Activities and workshops include: Beginning Djun-Djun Drumming, with Gregg Hansen; Drum Building with Stephen Kroll and drum builder Steve Lange, who has built West African-style percussion instruments since 1992; Belly Dancing and performance with Rio from Satori Dance Studio; Learn the Didgeridoo with George Brown; Native American flute with Bill Grindle; and Drumming as a Spiritual Practice with Keith Hancock.

Saturday evening performances, held in The Dome at Sunrise Ranch, a beautiful 400-seat venue, include: Kalliope and DjO Djembe Orchestra. Outdoors will be Fire Spinners and dance performances around the one-of-kind fire ring, which is a must-see highlight of the Heart Beat and Dance Festival,

Families are encouraged to attend the Heart Beat Drum and Dance Festival to participate in the wide variety of activities and to stay overnight in comfortable indoor accommodations or to camp.
