MicroBilt Corporation, a leader in risk management information for small and medium-sized businesses and leading provider of alternative data for non-traditional lenders is pleased to announce that Susan Johnson, MicroBilt’s Director of Client and Product Support, has been named as an OLA Ambassador for the Online Lenders Alliance (OLA) Spring Conference. MicroBilt is a Gold Sponsor of the event.
The OLA Spring Conference starts today in Washington, DC and has a strong regulatory and legislative focus. The Spring Conference will focus on the key role that online short-term lending plays in the future of financial services. As an OLA Ambassador, Ms. Johnson will engage with the over two hundred OLA members that will be attending the OLA Spring Conference and will participate in Capital Hill visits during the conference. Also attending the Spring Conference are Walt Wojciechowski, MicroBilt’s CEO, and Todd Milner, MicroBilt’s SVP of Sales. Mr. Wojciechowski is an OLA board member and Mr. Milner sits on the OLA’s Underwriting and Analytics working group.
“This year’s OLA Spring Conference is scheduled at a very dynamic time in the online short-term lending industry, and the Online Lenders Alliance, our industry trade association, is taking the lead on many important issues that affect our industry and many consumers. The recent study issued from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City that found that there is a preponderance of evidence suggesting that some consumers will likely face adverse effects if short term lending is restricted and recommends that policymakers carefully weigh the costs of lending restrictions.” says Wojciechowski, “The OLA Spring Conference is an opportunity to bring industry leaders and policymakers together to discuss the these important issues.”
“Susan Johnson’s participation as an Ambassador at the OLA Spring Conference is great for MicroBilt and the OLA. She has worked closely with many of the industry’s leaders as a senior executive at CL Verify and has a unique perspective on how the online lending industry works and the valuable services that short-term lending provides consumers.” added Wojciechowski, “Since our merger with CL Verify in September, Susan has continued to take a leadership role with our short-term lending customers and will be a great resource to OLA members at the Spring Conference.”
