Storksak and Babymel to Donate 10% of Online Sales to the American Red Cross

In response to the devastating and deadly EF4 tornado that ripped through Alabama (and six other southern states) last Wednesday, Storksak and Babymel, two popular parent bag brands, have joined forces with the American Red Cross to help provide critical aid to the residents of Alabama. Until Monday, June 13th, Storksak and Babymel will donate 10% of every bag sold at and to the American Red Cross. The money raised will help to provide important resources following this disaster which claimed the life of over 200 residents and leveled thousands of homes and businesses in the Tuscaloosa area.

“We have heard from so many of our Alabama retailers about the numerous injured and displaced people who have been affected by the tornados and feel compelled to help,” said Melanie Marshall, co-founder and creative director of Storksak and Babymel. “The destruction and loss of life has been truly unimaginable and heartbreaking. We hope our efforts will help provide the necessary resources for residents to begin the re-building process following this terrible tragedy,” she continued. Known for their expeditious response to disasters around the world, joining the Red Cross to help raise money for critical resources in the form of food, water, life-saving emergency supplies, and comfort kits was a “no brainer,” said Melanie.

Keenly aware of the importance of giving back, Storksak and Babymel are proud to offer customers the opportunity to give a great gift while providing assistance to our neighbors in Alabama. “Whether you want to spend $40.00 or $400.00 on a gift this Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, Storksak and Babymel have a bag to fit your budget and style. From hip hobos to stylish shoulder bags and utilitarian messenger designs, these parent bag brands offer functional solutions that will help aid Alabama relief efforts.
